Who we are: We are a multi-generational body. Sunday AM attendance is between 500 – 600 people; however, with two services it still has a small-church feel! Dress trends toward casual, though you can find anything from cowboy boots to suits. The people here are friendly and, with a number of visitors each week, you will always find yourself welcome!
Our Sunday Service: We gather as a church family each Sunday morning at 8:30 and 11:00 for worship and at 10:00 for our Discipleship Hour. Worship services last around 1 hour and 15 minutes and include a time of worship, family time (announcements and greeting), prayer, and time in God’s Word. Children’s church is provided during the teaching time. Nursery and childcare are provided during all morning services, including the Discipleship Hour.
Our Music and Worship: The music we sing at First Baptist Church is a blend of old and new. We love the doctrinally rich hymns of old and we find blessings in the newer music as well! Most who are comfortable with music from one particular era have discovered, while at FBC, that they also enjoy other songs and styles. This is particularly due to the nature of our Christ-centered worship! We love singing unto the Lord as a congregation and often enjoy the blessing of music by our EXALT Choir.
Our Sermons: Preaching at First Baptist Church is generally expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular biblical passage. Sermons usually last around 35 minutes and are taught by a teaching team of staff pastors. On a regular basis, our sermon series alternate between the Old and New Testaments. All preaching is driven by the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Weekdays: There are weekly opportunities at the church for all ages; adults – men and women’s Bible studies – middle school and high school students-and Awana children’s program. In addition, there are Discipleship Groups that meet weekly in homes for study, fellowship, and service.
